Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Polska kiełbasa, sliced
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and minced garlic, and sauté until the onions are translucent.
Layering
  1. In the prepared baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the Polska kiełbasa slices, sautéed onions, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes and sausage.
  2. Top with the shredded cheese, spreading it evenly over the casserole.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
