Ingredients
  

Brie Bites
  • 1 wheel 1 wheel of brie (firm and cold), cut into 1-inch cubes Choose a firmer variety for better structure
  • 1 medium 1 egg, beaten Beaten until frothy
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup finely chopped pistachios Can be substituted with walnuts or almonds
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs For a crispy texture
  • 1 tbsp 1 tbsp flour (optional, for dusting) Optional, helps the coating adhere better
  • as needed none Neutral oil, for frying Heat oil until hot before frying
Garnish
  • to taste none Pomegranate glaze Drizzle over brie bites before serving
  • to taste none Fresh thyme Sprinkle on top before serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the cold brie into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a bowl, beat one egg until frothy.
  3. In another bowl, combine finely chopped pistachios and panko breadcrumbs.
  4. (Optional) Lightly dust the brie cubes with flour to help the coating adhere better.
  5. Dip each brie cube in the beaten egg, ensuring it's fully coated.
  6. Roll the egg-coated brie in the pistachio-panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Cooking
  1. Heat neutral oil in a frying pan over medium heat until hot.
  2. Fry the coated brie bites until they are golden brown on all sides, taking care not to overcrowd the pan.
  3. Remove them and drain on paper towels.
Serving
  1. Drizzle with pomegranate glaze and sprinkle with fresh thyme before serving.
