Ingredients
  

For the Brie Bites
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 120 g brie, cut into cubes
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • to taste Pistachios, chopped
  • to taste Fig honey or fig jam

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lightly flour your workspace and roll out the puff pastry. Cut it into small squares, about 3 inches each.
  3. Place a cube of brie in the center of each pastry square.
  4. Add a small dollop of fig honey or fig jam on top of the cheese.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a small pocket, and seal it with the beaten egg.
  6. Brush the tops of the pastries generously with more egg wash, and sprinkle with the chopped pistachios.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy the deliciousness!

Notes

These bites are best served warm right out of the oven. Store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
