Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing
  • 1 pound thinly sliced steak meat Chopped
  • 1 each green pepper Thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup white onion Sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme Minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Assembly
  • 1 package Hawaiian rolls 12 rolls
  • 12 slices provolone or Swiss cheese For topping
  • 1 tablespoon butter Melted for brushing
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce For topping
  • 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar For topping
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chopped steak meat, green pepper, onion, and thyme, cooking until the steak is browned and no longer pink.
  2. Stir in the garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce, combining everything thoroughly.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray a baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. In the prepared pan, place the bottom halves of the rolls and spoon the steak mixture over them.
  3. Top generously with provolone or Swiss cheese slices.
  4. Place the top halves of the rolls back on. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar, then brush this mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  5. Sprinkle with half the parsley.
  6. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue baking for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is nice and melty.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with the remaining parsley, and enjoy your sliders immediately!
