Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 1 can crescent roll dough Use refrigerated crescent roll dough.
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped Chop pecans finely for better texture.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Light or dark brown sugar can be used.
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup Light or dark corn syrup works.
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted Melt the butter but avoid overheating.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash) Egg wash gives a golden finish.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  • Place a spoonful of the pecan mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end to the tip.
  • Place the rolled crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Optional to dust with powdered sugar and pair with ice cream or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Reheat briefly in the oven before serving.
