Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  5. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  8. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
