  • 6 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter for greasing the pan

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, mix together the sugar, peanut butter, and corn syrup. Be careful not to let it burn, as this will ruin the recipe.
  2. Stir the mixture until well melted, then remove the pan from heat.
  3. Combine the warm peanut butter mixture with the crisp rice cereal.
  4. Grease a 9×13 inch pan well with butter or margarine, and spread the mixture evenly in the pan.
  5. Allow it to cool. Once the mixture is no longer sticky to the touch, cut it into bars.
