  • 6 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter for greasing the pan

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan, mix together the sugar, peanut butter, and corn syrup. Be careful not to let it burn, as this will ruin the recipe.
  • Stir the mixture until well melted, then remove the pan from heat.
  • Combine the warm peanut butter mixture with the crisp rice cereal.
  • Grease a 9×13 inch pan well with butter or margarine, and spread the mixture evenly in the pan.
  • Allow it to cool. Once the mixture is no longer sticky to the touch, cut it into bars.

Notes

Store your treats in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature. You can refrigerate them for longer storage, just let them sit out to soften before serving.
