Ingredients

Cake Base
  • 1 box Chocolate Cake Mix (oil, eggs, water)
Peanut Butter Mixture
  • 12 oz Softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup Softened butter Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 3/4 cup Creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 4 cups Powdered sugar Gradually mix in one cup at a time.
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups Miniature Reese's peanut butter cups, unwrapped and cut in halves

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Mix the cake batter: In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix with the required oil, eggs, and water. Stir well until fully combined, then pour it into your greased baking dish and set aside.
  3. Prepare the peanut butter mixture: In another bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese, butter, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, until completely incorporated.
  5. Spoon dollops of the peanut butter mixture over the chocolate cake batter and gently spread it around.
  6. Sprinkle the halves of Reese’s peanut butter cups and chocolate chips evenly across the batter.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 45-50 minutes, checking for doneness using a toothpick—when it comes out clean (or with just a few crumbs), it’s done!
Serving
  1. Serve warm with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream alongside. Enjoy!
