Ingredients
  

For the Tea
  • 6 bags black tea bags Traditional black tea is recommended, but green or herbal blends can also be used.
  • 4 cups hot water Used for steeping the tea.
  • 5-6 cups cold water Add according to desired strength.
For the Peach Mixture
  • 7-8 large ripe peaches Peeled, pitted, and sliced. Fresh is best, but frozen can be used if thawed.
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar Adjust sweetness to taste; consider using honey or agave as alternatives.
Garnish
  • 1 whole lemon Sliced for garnish.
  • Ice for serving Serve over ice to chill.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by steeping the black tea bags in hot water for about 5 minutes.
  2. While the tea is steeping, place the diced peaches into a blender or food processor and puree them until smooth.
  3. Optionally, strain the peach puree through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother consistency.
Combining
  1. In a large pitcher, combine the hot tea, peach puree, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Add 5 cups of cold water to the mixture, adjusting the sweetness to your liking.
Serving
  1. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator or serve immediately over ice with a lemon slice.
