Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with butter or nonstick spray.
- Open the can of peaches and pour them into the dish, spreading them into an even layer.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the peaches.
- If using brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle them over the cake mix now.
- Drizzle the melted butter slowly and evenly across the entire surface.
Baking
- Place the dish in the oven and bake for 40–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- If the top browns too quickly, tent loosely with foil for the final 10–15 minutes.
- Let the dump cake rest for 10–15 minutes before scooping.
