- 1/2 cup 1 stick or 8 tablespoons Butter (sliced into 24 very thin slices)
- 1 15.25-ounce Box Vanilla Cake Mix
- 2 15-ounce Cans Sliced Peaches in Heavy Syrup
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray a 9×13 pan with baking spray or grease and flour the pan before starting.
Empty 2 cans of canned peaches into the 9×13 baking dish.
Evenly sprinkle the entire contents of the cake mix over the peaches in the baking dish.
Place very thin slices of butter on top of the cake mix to cover it completely. Ensure there are no open areas of cake mix. If needed, add more slices of butter.
Bake in the preheated 350-degree F oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. If desired, serve topped with ice cream.
Ensure to thinly slice the butter to maximize coverage and cover the entire cake evenly. Leaving any areas without butter may result in unappetizing dry spots in the cake mix.
If you plan to top it with ice cream, consider freezing scoops of ice cream before placing them on the warm Peach Cobbler. This helps the ice cream last a bit longer before fully melting into the cobbler.
