  • 1 cup Sugar To sweeten the fruit.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Adds a warm flavor.
For the Batter
  • 1 cup Flour The base of the batter.
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder For leavening.
  • 1 cup Milk To create a smooth consistency.
  • 1/2 cup Butter Melted, to add richness.
  • 1 cup Sugar For the batter.
To Serve
  • 1 scoop Vanilla ice cream The perfect topping!

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice your fresh peaches and mix them in a bowl with sugar and cinnamon. Set aside to marinate for added flavor.
Batter Preparation
  1. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and sugar.
  2. Gradually add in the milk and melted butter to form a smooth batter.
Baking
  1. Pour this batter into a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  2. Carefully spoon the marinated peach mixture over the batter, ensuring it’s distributed well.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
  4. Serve warm, preferably with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
