Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces pound cakes (cut into thick slices) Ensure they fit the serving bowl.
  • 1 jar raspberry jam
  • 2 pints blueberries Fresh, for layering.
  • 1 cup cream
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier (or favorite orange liqueur) Substitute as needed.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 10 pieces egg yolks
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • Fresh for topping raspberries Chilled.
  • Fresh for topping blueberries Chilled.
  • Powdered for topping sugar For dusting.

Method
 

Layering
  1. In a large glass trifle bowl, start with a layer of pound cake slices.
  2. Cover the cake evenly with raspberry jam.
  3. Top the jam with a generous layer of fresh blueberries.
  4. Spoon a generous layer of Grand Marnier pudding over the blueberries.
  5. Repeat with the remaining ingredients, ending with a layer of pound cake slices.
  6. Cover the trifle and place it in the fridge to chill for at least 3 hours.
  7. Just before serving, add one last layer of pudding and top with fresh berries. Dust lightly with powdered sugar.

Notes
