Ingredients
  

Pasta and Filling
  • 12 oz jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef Make sure to fully cook.
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese Mixed with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Sauce and Toppings
  • 2 cups marinara sauce Feel free to use store-bought.
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded For topping.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated For topping.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the diced onion and minced garlic until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  6. Stuff each pasta shell with the ricotta mixture, then place them in a baking dish.
Baking
  1. Pour the beef and marinara sauce mixture over the stuffed shells.
  2. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  3. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes; then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  4. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes
