- In a standing mixer, combine the softened butter and powdered sugar. Beat until the mixture is creamy.
- Add in orange zest, orange soda, vanilla extract, orange juice, and heavy cream. Mix until smooth.
- If you want a vibrant color, add a few drops of orange food coloring and mix again.
- Scrape down the sides of the bowl and mix again until well combined and fluffy.
- Scoop your frosting into an airtight container for storage or use it right away.
- To store, keep in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for about three months.
- When ready to use, allow it to come to room temperature and beat again before frosting.
