  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 14 ounces Smoked sausage
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 14.5 ounces Canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 8 ounces Dry whole wheat bow tie pasta
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and canned diced tomatoes; bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the pasta, cover, and cook according to the pasta package instructions until al dente.
  6. Add heavy cream and pepper; mix well.
  7. Serve topped with shredded cheddar cheese.

Notes
