  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups diced carrots
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 3 cups uncooked bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large pot or skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the ground beef and cook until it is browned.
  • Add the diced carrots, beef broth, tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
  • Stir in the uncooked bowtie pasta and cover the pot.
  • Simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked and the liquid has absorbed.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Feel free to add more vegetables such as bell peppers or peas for extra nutrition. If you like it spicy, you can add red pepper flakes. Always taste and adjust the seasoning before serving.
