Instructions
Gather all ingredients.
All ingredients gathered to make one bowl chocolate cake.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.
Stir sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl.
Dry ingredients mixed together.
Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; mix for 2 minutes on medium speed with an electric mixer.

Stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin.

Pour evenly into the prepared pans.
