Burger Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Use a blend with some fat for added flavor.
  • 12 mini burgers Mini Burger Buns Slider-sized is perfect for these.
  • 1 cup Pizza Sauce Essential for that signature pizza flavor.
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Provides the gooey, stretchy texture.
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning For flavorful patties.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
Optional Toppings
  • to taste Pepperoni
  • to taste Mushrooms
  • to taste Olives
  • to taste Bell Peppers

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
  2. Shape the mixture into small patties, about the size of your mini buns.
  3. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Lightly oil the surface and cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, slice the buns in half if they are not pre-sliced, and lightly toast them.
Assembly
  1. On a baking tray, place the bottom halves of the buns and spread a layer of pizza sauce.
  2. Add the cooked burger patty on top, followed by another dab of sauce, mozzarella cheese, and optional toppings.
  3. Preheat the oven and bake the assembled burgers for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Allow them to cool slightly before serving.
