Ingredients
  

For the Pie Filling
  • 3 cups diced Granny Smith apples (about 4 apples) Granny Smith apples provide a nice tart flavor.
  • 1/4 cup white sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Add more for a stronger flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Prevents apples from browning.
For the Crust and Topping
  • 2 pieces ready-made pie crusts Store-bought for convenience.
  • 1 egg (for egg wash) Gives a shiny finish.
  • 1 tablespoon milk Mix with egg for a richer wash.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine diced apples, white sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  3. Roll out the pie crusts and cut them into small circles.
  4. Place a tablespoon of the apple mixture into the center of each circle.
  5. Fold the crust over to form a pocket and seal the edges with a fork.
Baking
  1. Mix the egg and milk together and brush over the tops of the pies.
  2. Place the pies on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
