- In a bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and buttermilk.
- Dip each onion into the flour mixture, ensuring it’s thoroughly coated. Soak the onion in the egg mixture before rolling it in breadcrumbs.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Spray the coated onions with cooking spray and place them in the basket.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes until they turn golden brown and crispy.

Notes
These blooming beauties can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, place them back into the air fryer for about 5 minutes at 375°F. You can also freeze them for later use—freeze in a single layer before transferring to a freezer-safe bag.
