Ingredients
  

For the cookies
  • 2 cups flour Use gluten-free flour blend if desired.
  • 1 cup corn starch
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1.5 cups butter (softened) Ensure butter is softened but not melted.
  • 0.25 cups butter (softened)
For the frosting
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.25 cups milk
  • pink food coloring Add to achieve desired shade.

Cookie Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, corn starch, and powdered sugar.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter until fluffy.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the creamed butter until a dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Let them cool completely.
Frosting Directions
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, alternating with milk, until you reach a smooth consistency.
  3. Mix in a few drops of pink food coloring until your desired shade is achieved.
  4. Frost the cooled cookies with the pink icing.

Notes

These cookies are perfect for afternoon gatherings or as party favors. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze without frosting for longer storage. Allow to thaw before adding frosting.
