Ingredients
  

Meatloaf Ingredients
  • 2 pieces Eggs
  • 2/3 cup Milk
  • 32 wafers Ritz wafers, crushed Regular breadcrumbs can be used if out of Ritz.
  • 1/2 cup Onion, chopped
  • 4 ounces Shredded sharp cheddar cheese Feel free to substitute with any cheese of your choice.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds Ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
Glaze Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease your loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together until well combined.
  3. Add the crushed Ritz wafers, chopped onion, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix well until evenly distributed.
  4. Gently incorporate the ground beef into the mixture. Don’t overmix; just blend until combined.
  5. Transfer the meatloaf mixture to the greased loaf pan, pressing it down firmly.
Adding the Glaze and Baking
  1. In a separate small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread this glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  2. Bake in your preheated oven for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.
  3. Once cooked, remove the meatloaf and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes
