Main ingredients

  • 4 Bacon Cooked until crispy
  • 2 Eggs Poached to desired doneness
  • 4 slices Tiger bread Also known as tiger toast
  • 1 cup Mature cheddar cheese Shredded for topping
  • 2 Shallots Sautéed until soft
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce For spreading on the toast

Seasoning

  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the shallots until soft.
  • Toast the tiger bread.

Assembly

  • Spread Worcestershire sauce on the toasted bread and top with shredded mature cheddar and the sautéed shallots.
  • Place the bread in the oven to melt the cheese slightly, about 5 minutes.
  • While the bread is in the oven, poach the eggs to your desired doneness.
  • Assemble by placing the crispy bacon on the cheese-topped toast and adding the poached eggs.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

This dish is best served hot and fresh from the oven. Pair with fresh fruit or a simple salad for a delightful meal. If you have leftovers, store them in the refrigerator, but it's best to eat fresh.
