  • 3 medium Medium tomatoes, chopped Chopped tomatoes add freshness.

Dressing

  • 1/4 cup Olive oil Extra virgin olive oil recommended.
  • 1/4 cup Red wine vinegar Can be replaced with apple cider vinegar.
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Season to preference.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper Freshly ground for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh dill, chopped Adds a fresh herb flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers, sliced red onion, and chopped tomatoes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until the sugar is dissolved.

Marinating

  • Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss gently to coat. Sprinkle the chopped dill over the salad and toss again.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve the salad chilled as a side dish or a light snack.

Notes

For better taste, consume within 1 day. Adjust seasoning based on flavor preference. Can substitute with other vegetables and vinegars.
