  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • to taste Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by taking the sirloin steak out of the fridge and let it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and smoked paprika.
  • Rub the steak with olive oil, then sprinkle the spice mix all over the steak, pressing it in gently.

Cooking

  • Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until nicely browned.
  • Add the soy sauce and butter to the skillet. Spoon the melted butter over the steak.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook for about 5-7 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer it more done.
  • Remove the skillet from the oven and let the steak rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve!

Notes

Serve this delicious steak with sides like mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, or a crisp salad. A glass of red wine goes perfectly with the rich flavors of the beef. If you have any leftovers, place the steak in an airtight container. It will last in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can reheat it in the microwave or a skillet, but be careful not to overcook it again, or it could become tough. Always let your steak rest before slicing for better tenderness.
