Preparation
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat and add the taco seasoning. Follow package instructions for seasoning.
- In a baking dish, spread the refried beans evenly at the bottom.
- Layer the seasoned beef on top of the beans.
- Pour the salsa over the beef layer.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, covering it completely.
Baking
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before adding your favorite toppings such as diced tomatoes, sliced olives, green onions, sour cream, and avocado.
Serving
- Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes
