Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef Can be substituted with ground turkey or plant-based alternatives.
  • 2 lbs frozen tater tots Follow package instructions for baking.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to experiment with other cheeses.
  • ½ cup diced white onion
  • 1 medium diced tomato
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup dill pickles
Spices
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
Sauce Ingredients
  • ¼ cup mayo
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp pickle juice

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on the sheet and bake them until golden and very crispy, following package instructions.
  3. While the tots are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat and sauté the ground beef until it’s browned, draining any excess fat afterward.
  4. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to season the beef mix well.
Assembly
  1. Once the tater tots are crispy, generously top them with the beef mixture and shredded cheddar cheese, then return to the oven at 400°F until the cheese is melted.
  2. Prepare the sauce by mixing mayo, ketchup, mustard, and pickle juice in a small bowl.
  3. Remove the tater tots from the oven and garnish with diced onions, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and dill pickles, then drizzle the sauce on top.
  4. Serve immediately for maximum crunch.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For best results, reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness. You can also add your favorite hot sauce for extra kick and experiment with various toppings like avocado slices or bacon bits.
