- Knead the dough: Use the dough hook for about 5 minutes, then finish kneading by hand for an additional 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cook in the slow cooker: Line slow cooker with baking paper, place dough inside, and cook on high for 2 to 2.5 hours. Check every 7-10 minutes until top is spongey and springs back.
- Optional crusty top: For a crustier finish, pop the loaf under the broiler for less than 5 minutes.
