Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Scrub the potato clean and dry it thoroughly using a paper towel.
- Pierce the potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape.
- If desired, rub the potato with a small amount of oil and sprinkle with salt.
Cooking
- Place the potato in the air fryer basket and cook for 30-40 minutes, flipping it halfway through for even cooking.
- Check for doneness by inserting a fork; it should be soft and tender.
- Remove the potato and slice it open.
- Top it with your favorite ingredients like butter, sour cream, cheese, chives, or crispy bacon.
Notes
For leftovers, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes for the best texture. For freezing, wrap cooled potatoes tightly in foil and store in a freezer-safe bag for up to a month.
