Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or sausage, breadcrumbs, ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Lay out the cooked lasagna noodles and spread a layer of the meat mixture along each noodle.
- Roll the noodles up tightly and place them seam-side down in a baking dish.
- Pour marinara sauce over the roll-ups and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
Baking
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes
Serve hot from the oven. Excellent with extra marinara sauce on the side and a simple green salad or garlic bread. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, or frozen before baking for up to three months.
