Ingredients
  

Marinade:

  • 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup Viva Italian Dressing or Zesty Italian
  • 1 1/2 – 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts (or bone-in chicken thighs)

Additional Sauce for Basting (optional):

  • 1/3 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Viva Italian Dressing or Zesty Italian

Instructions
 

  • In a ziplock bag or dish, combine 1 cup of Italian dressing and 1 cup of barbecue sauce to make the marinade. Mix well.
  • Add the chicken to the marinade, coating it well. Allow the chicken to marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
  • When ready to cook, preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade, discarding any remaining marinade.
  • Grill the chicken until it reaches a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), turning occasionally for even cooking.
  • If desired, mix 1/3 cup of barbecue sauce and 1/3 cup of Italian dressing for additional basting sauce during grilling.
  • Once cooked through, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve your delicious Italian BBQ chicken with your favorite sides and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, baste the chicken with a mixture of BBQ sauce and Italian dressing while grilling.
