- In a ziplock bag or dish, combine 1 cup of Italian dressing and 1 cup of barbecue sauce to make the marinade. Mix well.
- Add the chicken to the marinade, coating it well. Allow the chicken to marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
- When ready to cook, preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, discarding any remaining marinade.
- Grill the chicken until it reaches a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), turning occasionally for even cooking.
- If desired, mix 1/3 cup of barbecue sauce and 1/3 cup of Italian dressing for additional basting sauce during grilling.
- Once cooked through, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve your delicious Italian BBQ chicken with your favorite sides and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, baste the chicken with a mixture of BBQ sauce and Italian dressing while grilling.
