Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Coat a 13×9-inch baking dish with 1/4 cup olive oil.
  2. Unroll both cans of French bread dough into the prepared dish, pressing it into the corners. Pinch seams together to ensure a seamless surface.
  3. Dimple the dough all over with your fingertips and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
Adding Toppings
  1. After the rest, dimple the dough again, drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and sprinkle evenly with Italian seasoning and flaky salt.
  2. Create a cheesy perimeter by lining the edges with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  3. Gently nestle the hot dogs into the dough in two rows of four, pressing them down lightly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Keep an eye on the baking time, as it may vary slightly depending on your oven.
  2. Allow the bread to cool for 5 minutes before adding your favorite toppings and slicing to serve warm.
