Ingredients
  

Dairy Ingredients
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Full-fat for best flavor
  • 1 cup sour cream Half can be swapped for Greek yogurt for tanginess
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Can be reduced to 1/4 cup for lighter version
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar Freshly shredded melts better than pre-shredded
Seasonings and Flavorings
  • 1 oz packet ranch seasoning Or 2 tbsp homemade ranch mix
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Bacon and Vegetables
  • 6-8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and chopped Reserve a few pieces for topping
  • 3 stalks green onions, thinly sliced Reserving some onions for garnish
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeño Optional for heat
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes Optional; drain before adding
Garnish (Optional)
  • Chopped parsley or extra scallions Optional for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream and mayonnaise. Blend until fully combined.
  4. Mix in the ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and freshly ground black pepper. Stir well.
  5. Fold in the shredded cheddar, chopped bacon, and green onions, reserving some onions for garnish.
  6. If you like spice, mix in the jalapeños and diced tomatoes.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
  8. Top with reserved bacon and extra cheddar, if desired.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly golden on top.
  10. Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley or scallions, and serve warm.

Notes
