Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup white rice Rinse before soaking.
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk Can be substituted with coconut milk for dairy-free version.
  • 1 can evaporated milk Can be replaced with dairy-free alternatives.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 stick cinnamon Used for soaking.
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon Stir into the strained mixture.
  • 4 tablespoons sugar Adjust to taste.
  • as needed ice cubes Optional, for serving.
  • as needed water Used for soaking and blending.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse 1 cup of white rice in a colander and transfer it to a bowl. Add 1 cinnamon stick and cover with water. Let it soak for 2 hours.
  2. Check the rice and cinnamon; if they’re not soft, soak longer.
  3. Transfer the soaked rice and cinnamon water to a blender. Add the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and sugar.
  4. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  5. Strain the blended mixture into a pitcher and stir in ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon along with additional water to taste.
  6. Optionally, serve with ice cubes for an extra refreshing touch.

Notes

For a smoother texture, blend the mixture longer. Adjust sweetness as desired, and if you prefer a less creamy texture, increase water when straining. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, shaking before serving.
