Ingredients

For the marinades
  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing Use bottled dressing or make your own.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Substitute maple syrup if needed.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Fresh is best for brightness.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Main ingredients
  • 1 pound chicken tenderloins

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the Italian dressing, honey, lime juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Place the tenderloins in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) while the chicken rests.
  2. Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Place the pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket; do not overcrowd.
  3. Air-fry at 400°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through. The exterior should be lightly charred and the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  4. Remove the tenderloins and let them rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
