  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup honey (or agave nectar) Adjust according to sweetness preference.
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional) For added heat.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, mix the flour and paprika together.
  • Coat each chicken thigh in the flour mixture and place them in a greased or foil-lined baking dish.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper over each thigh.

Cooking

  • In a separate bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  • Pour the honey mixture evenly over the chicken, flipping them over once or twice to ensure they are fully coated.
  • If you like a bit of heat, sprinkle the red pepper flakes on top.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken with rice or vegetables, adding extra sauce on the side if you’d like.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for up to three months. Thaw in the fridge before reheating. You can also add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli before baking for a one-pan meal.
