Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups pecans, finely chopped Chop finely for even distribution.
  • 1.5 cups self-rising flour Can substitute with all-purpose flour, adding baking powder.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs, beaten Use room temperature eggs for better mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, self-rising flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the vegetable oil, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, honey, and melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
