  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a lighter option.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 4 pieces burger buns

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until it’s nicely browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add in the chopped onion and green bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are tender.
  3. Mix in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  4. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend the flavors.
  5. Spoon the hearty mixture into burger buns and serve hot.
