Ingredients
  

Meat mixture
  • 1 pound ground beef Use 80/20 blend for moisture.
  • 1 pound ground pork Keeps the loaf moist.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Plain or seasoned.
  • 1 cup milk To soak the breadcrumbs.
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup For the mix.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Topping
  • 1/2 cup ketchup For topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) or air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let them sit for a minute to absorb the milk.
  3. Add the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of ketchup, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme. Mix gently until combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or form a mound in the air fryer basket.
  5. Spread 1/2 cup of ketchup evenly over the top.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). For the air fryer, cook for about 30–35 minutes.
  2. Remove from oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes
