- Pour in the rinsed beans, salt, pepper, thyme, bay leaf, and chicken broth. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer uncovered for about 25-30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Remove the bay leaf before serving. Enjoy hot!
