Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with whole wheat or gluten-free flour.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup olive oil Can be substituted with melted butter or other vegetable oils.
  • 1/4 cup water
Flavorings
  • Fresh herbs (like rosemary, thyme, or parsley) Feel free to mix and match your favorite herbs.
  • Edible flowers Highly recommended for visual appeal.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
  3. Add the olive oil and water, stirring until a cohesive dough forms.
  4. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to your desired thickness—thicker for chewier crackers, thinner for crisp ones.
  5. Cut the dough into your favorite shapes and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle the surface with chopped fresh herbs and, if you have them, the edible flowers.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until they turn crisp and golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Store leftover crackers in an airtight container at room temperature for about 3-5 days. For longer storage, freeze the dough before baking or freeze baked crackers for up to a month.
