Preparation
- Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions and bake. Once done, let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, break the cake into crumbles in a large mixing bowl. Aim for a fine texture for easy mixing.

- Take small portions of the mixture and mold them into heart shapes.
- Insert lollipop sticks into each shaped heart and place them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- While the hearts chill, melt your candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, adding food coloring if desired.
- Dip each chilled cake pop into the melted candy, coating evenly. Place them upright in a styrofoam block or similar to set.
- Allow the candy coating to harden completely before serving.
