  • 1 cup frosting Any flavor you like
  • 1 bag candy melts Choose your preferred color
  • 12 pieces lollipop sticks
  • 1 teaspoon food coloring Optional, for added flair

Method

Preparation
  1. Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions and bake. Once done, let it cool completely.
  2. Once cooled, break the cake into crumbles in a large mixing bowl. Aim for a fine texture for easy mixing.
  3. Add the frosting to the crumbles. Use your hands or a spatula to blend until the mixture becomes dough-like.
  4. Take small portions of the mixture and mold them into heart shapes.
  5. Insert lollipop sticks into each shaped heart and place them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  6. While the hearts chill, melt your candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, adding food coloring if desired.
  7. Dip each chilled cake pop into the melted candy, coating evenly. Place them upright in a styrofoam block or similar to set.
  8. Allow the candy coating to harden completely before serving.
