Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Stir until well mixed.
- Add the olive oil and shredded cheddar cheese to the bowl. Use a fork or your hands to mix until the mixture becomes crumbly.
- Gradually add water, stirring until the dough begins to come together. The dough should be firm but not sticky.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/8-inch thick.
- Cut the dough into small squares or your desired shapes using a knife or cookie cutter.
- Use a toothpick to poke a hole in the center of each cracker to allow steam to escape while baking.
- Carefully transfer the crackers to the prepared baking sheet, placing them close together but not touching.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let the crackers cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
