  • 1 pound ground beef Browned for added flavor
  • 2 cups green beans Fresh or canned, drained if canned
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk To mix with the soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For topping
  • 1/2 onion chopped Cooked with the ground beef
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning
  • to taste Bread crumbs Optional, for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onion until the beef is fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, the cooked ground beef, green beans, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, adding bread crumbs if desired for a crispy texture.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 to 4 days. Can be frozen in freezer-safe containers for longer storage.
