Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef Lean ground beef is preferred.
  • 2 tbsp butter Optional but recommended for richness.
  • 1.5-2 cups beef broth Adjust based on desired thickness.
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste salt Adjust according to preference.
  • to taste pepper Adjust according to preference.

Method

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain most of the fat, leaving some for flavor.
  2. If the beef is very lean, add butter to the pan for extra richness.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the beef and stir for 1-2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add beef broth, starting with 1.5 cups, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
  6. If the gravy is too thick, add the remaining 0.5 cup of broth to reach the desired consistency.
  7. Let the gravy simmer on low heat for 5-6 minutes to meld the flavors.
