Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 small head cabbage, chopped Use a smaller head for tenderness.
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 8 ounces egg noodles Any type of egg noodles works.
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped Can substitute with sausage or leave out for vegetarian option.
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
Optional Garnish
  • as needed parsley For garnish.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set it aside, leaving the bacon grease in the skillet.
  2. Add the sliced onions to the skillet and sauté in the bacon grease until translucent.
  3. Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and cook until wilted, stirring occasionally.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions.
  5. Once the noodles are cooked, drain them and add to the skillet with the cabbage and onions.
  6. Stir in the cooked bacon, butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is combined and heated through.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with parsley if desired.
