Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb octopus Fresh or frozen, fully thawed.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 unit lemon, juiced Can add zest for extra flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to taste Fresh herbs (parsley or oregano) for garnish Feel free to swap herbs or add red pepper flakes.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Tenderize the octopus by boiling it in a pot of salted water for about 30-40 minutes until it’s tender.
  2. Once boiled, drain and let the octopus cool slightly before cutting into manageable pieces.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Marinate the octopus pieces in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
Grilling
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Grill the marinated octopus for about 2-3 minutes on each side until charred and heated through.
  3. Remove from the grill and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
