Ingredients

Salmon and Marinade
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Garnish
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, reserving 2 tablespoons of the sauce for later brushing.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour the marinade over them. Let them soak for 15–30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  2. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place the fillets skin-side down on the grill.
  3. Cook for about 4–5 minutes on each side, brushing with the reserved sauce, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Transfer the grilled salmon to a plate, drizzle with any remaining sauce, and garnish with fresh parsley or chopped green onions.
  5. Serve hot alongside rice, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad.
