  • 3 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 9-inch deep dish pie crust Homemade or store-bought.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Prick the pie crust with a fork, then bake the empty pie crust for 5 to 6 minutes. Remove it from the oven and set aside.

Filling

  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
  • Add the honey, heavy cream, and salt to the melted butter. Simmer for 1 minute.
  • Stir in the pecans until they are well coated in the mixture.

Baking

  • Pour the pecan mixture into your baked pie crust and spread it evenly.
  • Bake the pie at 375 degrees F until the filling is bubbling in the center and the crust is browned around the edges, about 25 minutes.
  • Allow it to cool before cutting and serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. For added flavor, consider a teaspoon of vanilla extract. You can use maple syrup instead of honey, or add spices for a different flavor.
